Why we hand print our t-Shirts: The art and craft behind our clothing brand
In today’s fast-paced, mass-production world, it’s easy to overlook the artistry and care that goes into the creation of the clothes we wear. So we decided to learn how to screen print so that each shirt is a one of a kind piece of art. Which I assure you is way harder to do than I initially thought. But three years into this journey of printing and I am loving the it. It's cool to see someone wearing a shirt I made and knowing it was made with my hands. Every single one of our t-shirts is hand printed with love and attention to detail.
But what makes hand-printing such a special process, and why is it important to us? Let’s dive into why we believe in the art of hand-printing and how it sets our brand apart.
Each T-Shirt is a Unique Work of Art
One of the biggest reasons we choose to hand print our t-shirts is because it ensures that each item is unique. Unlike automated screen printing or mass-produced prints, hand printing adds a personal touch to every design. Whether it’s a slight variation in ink distribution or a subtle adjustment in placement, no two shirts are exactly the same. This uniqueness is part of what makes our t-shirts so special—you’re not just buying a piece of clothing, you’re owning a one-of-a-kind work of art.
Quality Over Quantity
We believe in creating high-quality, long-lasting products that people can truly enjoy wearing. Hand printing allows us to pay attention to every detail, ensuring that the design is crisp, vibrant, and durable. Each print is carefully applied, which gives us more control over the final result. While mass production often sacrifices quality for speed, hand printing lets us focus on what really matters: delivering a superior product that you can wear for years to come.
Supporting Slow Fashion
Hand printing is an essential part of the slow fashion movement. In contrast to the fast fashion industry, which churns out clothing at breakneck speeds, we take our time to produce thoughtfully crafted items. By hand printing each t-shirt, we minimise the environmental impact of our manufacturing process. It’s not just about creating clothes—it’s about creating pieces that last, reducing waste, and promoting sustainability. Slow fashion encourages people to buy less, but buy better. And that’s exactly what we aim to do.
